Wall Measurements Suggestions

Two options I would like:

  1. The ability to say / check / indicate that “The wall measurement of this floor is an estimate” or something. Reason: Sometimes I simply can’t get a measurement, ie. a second floor that has sealed windows, and no doors, and thus no way to do the wall measurement, and it has to be eyeballed OR use the main floor measurement. Or a guess.
  2. The ability to say / check / indicate that “Wall measurement varies on this floor. The measurement was taken at <ability to indicate spot, like “front door”>” Reason: Floors often have variable thickness. For instance, an addition is different from the original farm house or whatever. Which measurement do we use? (I always use the smaller, so gross exterior is smaller not larger. Nobody can argue with “it’s bigger than they said it was”)

I know that accuracy is what we’re after. But there is also pragmatism. I’d think that this would also serve to set expectations, and perhaps establish a legal basis.
