I’ve been asked by a client to virtually stage panos for a future listing. I’ve never tried this before so I’d thought I’d experiment up front before committing.
I duplicated a recent iGUIDE, went thru the Replace Pano Images procedure, brought the exported image into ApplyDesign, added furniture no problems at all.
When I tried to add the new image back into the iGuide I get an ‘Invalid File’ error and I can’t seem to figure out why.
Original file (.jpg) is 7200x3600 (2 to 1) and 2.6Mb in size
New file (.jpg) is 5477x2738 (also 2 to 1) and 9.7Mb in size (<10Mb limit)
Anyone else run into this problem?
Thx!

I think iguide may be set to only work with 7200 x 3600 specifically. So changing any of those parameters may cause an issue. If you were just staging…why would you even adjust this at all? Just bring the pano into your program and add what you need, then export or save with the exact same pixel size parameters as what you started with. If you’re having an issue with file size you may need to try saving it at a little bit lower quality jpg though.
You’re absolutely right. ApplyDesign was resizing the image by default to 12MP max. Once I changed it to export to the original size it worked.
And yeah, I also had to bring the file into Lightroom and re-export it to 10mb max file size.
Thanks for the help!
