Virtual Tour Only Option for Residential Sales (No, Radix Doesn't Cut It)

Hello,

For many reasons out of my control, my clients are choosing other Floor Plan providers. They still book me for virtual tours - as they consider it part of my “Photography Packages” - so it’s not like I am completely losing business. However, when it comes to the “Virtual Tour” aspect of the iGuide, there is only really one option: Radix. It comes with no Stair Gates, and for other reasons, is not suitable for residential real estate sales such as on the MLS.

Will Planitar ever create an option for us to be able to add our own Stair Gates? We don’t really have much control over this, and it would significantly cut costs when delivering a Virtual Tour project to a client, and having to select “Standard” iGuide for the drafting team to create floor plans I’ll never use, just so they’ll drop in Stair Gates for the Virtual Tour part, seems like a total waste of resources when they could be drafting other floorplans for other operators.

I have spoken to Planitar about this and they mention that they are a “Floorplan First” company, but have been marketing these as Virtual Tours as well, of which are competing with a very obvious other product and camera, that is leaving us “Virtual Tour Only” service providers spending a heck of a lot more money than we would on the subscription services they make comparisons about all the time in advertisements. You also have Radix, so you clearly aren’t a Floorplan first company. I’m asking for a better version of that. That’s it.

If we could simply add our own Stair Gates, then perhaps I’d be using “Radix” projects as my own way of delivering iGuides without having to dismantle my Ricoh Theta and use Ricoh Tours or Matterport for a more seamless tour for a heck of a lot cheaper. And no, the subscriptions definitely aren’t more expensive than spending $95 on a single virtual tour from Planitar. If the client isn’t using the floorplan, and hires another company, now what?

Long story short, it sucks to spend 2 hours on a virtual interior/exterior tour of an entire house, and another 1 hour editing and uploading, only to be later charged a sliding scale for a 2200 sq ft “Standard” iGuide package you don’t really need just so you can have a few stair gate icons for a virtual tour you spent hours on during the scan, and inside stich aligning the exterior panos.

Thank you.

Quick thought: if the US has had access to iGuide Instant for years now, why can’t there be other products or tools, like giving access for us to put in our own stair gates, or a Virtual Tour option for Residential Real Estate, where a floorplan isnt necessary. (Even the iGuide Instant states measurements arent always necessary…)

iGuide Instant:

  1. Marketing a property during a real estate transaction
  2. Documenting a space where floor plan accuracy is not a priority
  3. Producing virtual tours quickly with minimal turnaround

Almost like we should have access to that for Virtual Tours…
Just saying.
(For years now…)
