Updating an OLD iGUIDE with NEW Visuals

EXAMPLE: A Client wins a listing of a project of which I have already produced an iGUIDE (years ago) and would like to update that iGUIDE with New Visuals to re-list the property with the updated iGUIDE and Floorplan.

Q: If I have deleted the old iGUIDE Data from my system, do I need to remap the entire building to update the iGUIDE, or can I simply revisit the property and Re-Scan the areas to be updated?

My goal here is to maximize the amount of storage space available on my system without creating redundant information.

Thank ye!

Yes, I did this exact thing today. I had an iGuide from two years ago and took all new visuals today as the paint and furnishings had changed. I did confirm that no structural changes had been made.

Something to consider. If your original iGuide is several years old it may have been created with firmware that is no longer supported. If you can go into your account and preview the old iGuide and it operates as you would expect you are probably okay. Also, the original analytics info is attached to the original url. I think once you’ve upgraded you can create a new view and this will have it’s own unique analytics, so your current client won’t see the viewing activity from last time.

I chose to update the old iGuide today because it was the same home owner as last time, and it was an awkward character home that has lots of sloped ceilings and nooks and crannies that are a pain to measure. Just running through with the main panos and no closets and extras saved a fair bit of time. The cost savings from iGuide are modest and would not have been enough motivation to do this had it been a simple home.

My understanding and one instance of actual experience is if the visuals and the LIDAR locations do not exactly match then any online measuring functions and navigation will be affected.
