Trying to understand the different options

I am working with an architect and am exploring various pricing options. I want to add Revit RVT files.
When I enter the calculator and select 'Manually Configure, ’ there are some information icons. The information icon states that the Premium Features are required with RVT files for the best outcome. When I review the Premium Features, it states that they add additional fixtures and appliances. I don’t need those. I will be making the scans before or during construction.

Can I order an RVT add-on without the Premium Features? And what are the Reflected Ceiling Plans? The information icon provides no additional information beyond the need for Premium Features.

Thanks

RVT files do require Premium iGUIDE - not sure why they made it so, but it is. Premium will add kitchen counters if those are in place. Reflected Ceiling Plans are special drawings that show where light fixtures are located in the ceiling. Typically these are something you would add to a finished home scan. There are some things to consider when scanning for RVT including doing vertical scans. See this YouTube video for help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QRs-q4aFUw

Thanks, Tom, for explaining the reflected ceilings. As I mentioned, my models don’t need kitchen counters or appliances. I hope a Plantir employee can weigh in on whether it enhances the model’s accuracy, allowing it to generate Revit plans. Otherwise, they should better understand their customers’ needs.

Thank you for posting on the iGUIDE Forum!

To ensure that the Drafting Team can properly view and work with the RVT file, the iGUIDE Premium package is required. This is because the RVT format relies on premium objects such as cabinets, default heights, and other components that are exclusive to the Premium version. These premium features help ensure accurate results when working with RVT files.

The RVT Add-on is a head-start model, which is roofless and material-less, providing a basic foundation for further development. The 3D CAD Package, on the other hand, is a more advanced model that includes material hatch patterns for walls (as we produce elevation drawings in this package) and a roof plan. Since more work is done in the 3D CAD Package, it reflects additional details and complexity, making it more comprehensive and refined. I hope this clarification between the two different RVT file options is helpful!

Here is a link to our Help Centre, which provides more information about iGUIDE Packages and Add-Ons. For your convenience, I have also attached the deliverables for both the 3D CAD Package and the RVT Add-On.

Thank you, Ashley, for the additional information. I feel that Planitar has real estate in mind with many of the plans. I would mainly scan empty spaces that are to be remodeled. I will study it more and appreciate the extensive information provided!
