Here’s a new question. How do sunken rooms get handled in the floor plans? Is it part of the adjoining floor or a floor of its own? My gut says that it is part of the adjoining floor. Any thoughts?
Drafters can comment on this, but I believe drafting standards stipulate there has to be “X” number of stairs between levels to constitute a separate floor (sorry I don’t remember the number of stairs), so a sunken room would be on the same floor as the adjoining floor if you go by that.
