Site plan vs Birds Eye view

There are parts about site plans that I love, but I believe the view should be a true birds eye view. Ground features already show up in the separate floor plans. Planitar has told me that they prioritize ground features over roof lines, but it just doesn’t make sense to me when doing so removes parts of the roof line. In two recent examples, one building showed up as two because there was a carport on the first floor (from the sky covered by a kitchen and a roof), and the other one showed an outdoor patio (from the sky covered by an outdoor porch and a roof). Planitar is very polite and well-worded in basically saying “no, these are our procedures, but thanks for the input” so I’m curious … does their approach make the most sense? What do you expect when looking from a birds eye view?
