Scanning the building from the outside

Hello,
I want to scan the entire building, both inside and outside. Scanning from the inside is ok, no help needed on this. Please advise where to make (points) measurement points from the outside so that I can submit the 3D model for REVIT to IGUIDE. Maybe someone can send me a plan of the measurement points.
