I ask for this as it undermines my business model. I don’t use the camera for real estate; I use it to model spaces for different purposes. I am working with a builder who could give me 500 projects annually. When I shared the Guide with the customer, I noticed the link on the logo. If the customer follows this link, it goes to the iGuides Discover page. The link gives away the secret sauce . The customer might decide that they buy a camera and do it themselves.
As a former business marketing manager, I understand why the link is there. However, it can have a very negative effect on your customers who have already invested in you.
if you download the offline files. You can modify the code and remove it yourself, then self-host the offline files somewhere. It’s really easy to do. A little extra work, but that will achieve what you’re after.
The customer will be able to read the iguide link you send them anyway… ?
I’ve been searchig for it but cannot seem to find the exact line in the code. Also when you upload to your own server it displays “iguide radix tour” in the tab. I’m a noob iin working with html code
Thanks for the information. I don’t want to self-host. I would provide the files to my customer, so I could make the edits before sharing them. But I want Guide to consider this for their customers. I don’t want to have to hack files. If I process 500+ models with them it should be an option I can select.
That is correct. Offline only. I do understand what you’re saying though. I wish it was an option, however the developers that send me their iGuides to edit. It’s a nice extra income lol. I don’t do that free! It gets to be a lot of work when you have many to edit. I end up removing the iguide logo from all over, removing address of the property from all areas including the pdf’s, and changing the google maps location.
In this situation, they like to maintain the privacy of homeowners that purchase one of their homes or showing as a sample on their website. They’ve never expressed why they want the iGuide logo removed, but I change it anyway. However, I wish this was an option in the system to maintain a homeowners privacy in this example. Or white label options. It gets to be a lot of work when you have MANY properties, especially in your case.
I also have a 3DVista license and the problem there is that with a right click on a tour you see it’s been made with 3DVista. But you can pay a fee to remove this in the software (think it is a one time 200€).
When i bought the R1 i asked if it was possible to remove the logo but they said not. Maybe an option to add a small fee when being processed could solve this.
I don’t know why this is a feature already. I have some home owners asking me if I can make sure the address doesn’t show because they only need the iGuide for renovation permits. I know I can put a password etc. However, a private link with the ability to redact the address for privacy should be a native feature.
Yep, they listened to everyone asking for the ability to hide an address and implemented the change in May.
From the May 2024 Tech Bulletin:
Disable Property Address
An iGUIDE can now be created without including a property address. Selecting Disable Property Address will eliminate the need to complete required address fields and map tools for the iGUIDE. Properties with no address must be uniquely identified with a number or name chosen by the user. This iGUIDE will not be indexable (found on public search platforms). A Property Reference is required to give the property an identifiable name for the customer and support teams’ convenience. All map features will be disabled for the iGUIDE any address functionality will not be able to be added once the iGUIDE is created.
I’m not seeing any other mention in the iGuide Knowledgebase of the new ability to disable a property address, but it’s simple:
Yes please remove the link to the prices etc. We are iGuides customers, and if you provide the link so our customers can see what it costs us to do the tours, we can possibly loose those customers it they click the IGuide Logo. THIS HAS GOT TO GO BEFORE I MAKE ANYMORE TOURS!
This is 100% wrong for their logo and link to their website with pricing and a link to buy a camera in less than 2 clicks.
The website link needs to go and if anything be replaced with the operators’ website as we are the provider and person servicing the customer. This would send more work directly to us that have already commented to iGuide in our area. I personally would love more work from someone seeing a locally published iguide with my photos and videos in our area from a product that we are advertising.
I just had this conversation at PMRE in the iGuide both about CubiCasa doing this on their CubiCasa Tour product and they didn’t say a thing about this when I told them that I would be using iGuide more since I would not use CubiCasa unless they removed their logo on the tours.
Received this email today from CubiCasa (Ask and you shall receive, Cliff!
The CubiCasa Tour that comes with the Plus Floor Plan will now be white-labeled starting on the 12th.)
I am suspending any new tours with IGUIDE until this is removed. This is serious business and it affects each one of us! The logo should be removed as well, but it is a MUST the pricing goes immediately!
