Live Streaming within the iGUIDE Viewer

Would it be possible to have a live streaming within the iGUIDE Viewer, that means without using Zoom or any streaming platform? Also, allow back and forth control of the tour?

I’ve seen other virtual tour platforms have this feature.

Thank you.

Incredible idea. For virtual showings. An agent could point out features etc. just 2 way connected screen - audio would be bonus. No real need to see the other person.

I think both audio and live view of the person are possible.

Cloudpano just implemented this feature: https://youtu.be/4M9ZN1DojRw

possible now or possible on other platforms. That cloud pano was fabulous. Surely we could get this implemented??? @alex1 @Alex @Chris

This is being investigated right now. No promises but we are looking into it.

Looking forward to it!

Just get dumped from a Real Estate Agent using a national real estate platform that has the direct connection with the client for the virtual showing and saying that with the iGuide virtual tour responding to questions live is not possible… :unamused:

… what platform CAN you do this? I presume it would be a situation where the agent & potential buyer are each looking at an IG tour (remotely), and the navigation of one is updated on the other persons computer, so questions can be asked…? I’m not aware of anything that does this…? (but it’s a good idea, if a bit niche, I guess). If it were me, I (as the agent) would simply share screens with the home owner, who navigates on their end, the agent can see what they’re looking at, and answer questions. Or, be there, and do a FB live. Or YT live. Or so many other things.

Zoom or similar allows you to present remotely. Has chat. Super easy to use. You just share your full screen view of the tour with the client.

Redfin has this functionality. So does CloudPano. Agents can set appointments and give interactive tours within the 360 platform.

The iGUIDE viewer has the capability to present Virtual Showings:

This feature was rolled out in the Summer of 2020. We do recommend you keep up to date on all Technical Update e-mails (from noreply@planitar.com), which contain technical and feature update information.

I was not talking about virtual showings. I know about this feature.
I was talking about virtual showings with a small screen on the top right corner and chat window, where agent and clients can see eachother and talk/write directly to each other without having to use another external application. Everything in one place.
Those are new features from immobiliare.it and idealista.it (big national selling platforms in Italy link Zillow), themself selling also virtual tour services (Matterport for example) and other services.
Difficult to compete with… I should work for those platforms but they are paying not much to photographers.

That is the feature that I was referring to in ckoudpano.

I know. I was answering to Sam.
Anyway if selling platform like Zillow are offering their own services to RealEstate Agents it is difficult to compete with them and with their prices.

Fyi, there is more than one way for this type of feature to work. iGUIDE is using what is arguably the superior method which remotely controls the native viewer. This preserves the highest image quality and smoothest motion. The arguably inferior method due to less image quality and jerky motion, would be to use a typical zoom type screen sharing approach.

Which is better is debatable, but would be important information to know which cloudpano is using. Does anyone know? The demos I have seen all show the experience of the ‘seller’, which seems odd unless the image quality for the ‘buyer’ is not as good.

The concept of sharing the tour with another is really good and a feature I am glad to have just learned about.

I suspect most sellers would just use zoom screen share for this purpose as they would be able to also share websites, etc at the same time.

IGUIDE arguably provides the best of both worlds… host a non screen sharing zoom session to get the audio and faces and host a virtual showing to get the highest image quality. At any point the host of the zoom call could share their screen to show other content (website, brochure, nearby cute restaurant, etc, etc).

The live bubble faces are cute but considering zoom already provides this well, integrating these ‘within’ the 360 viewer seems like solving a problem that doesn’t actually exist.

Compatibility is a whole different issues. Cloudpano seems to have a compatibility problem on iOS… Only 1 browser appears to be supported?
