Limiting 360 view to smaller angles

Consider the case, you would be mapping a house, where the neighbours have high sense of privacy and make a big noise of not wanting their private property be in your 360 tour outside pictures.

For this, it would be beneficial, if in the 360 tour, we could define from what starting angle to what end angle, the virtual tour visitor can rotate the view.

OR from what areas of picture will be blurred.

End result would be, from outside views, you can look to directions, where the promoted property is, but if you try to look to other directions (e.g. near neighbors), either the User Interface stops you doing that OR the image would just be blurred for those directions.

For Blur, it would be simple thing in stich to select starting angle and stop angle for areas on the image to be blurred.

Probably the easiest thing would be blur it (or completely delete it) in Photoshop. I’m sure you know how it’s done, but for the sake of those who don’t:

  1. In Stitch, right click on the pano and “open folder”
  2. The H1 (I believe is the default file name) jpg, open with Photoshop.
  3. Use the remove tool or AI to change things, -OR- Select the sections of the image you want blurred / gone and use a mask.
  4. Flatten the image and save file.
  5. Back in Stitch, right click and “reload” the pano. Your changes should appear. You can always create a copy of the H1 file prior to making changes.

So there’s still a 360 view but privacy for the neighbors.

You can also use the blur tool in the portal to blur out sensitive areas.
