I ran into a hiccup a few months ago with a second-hand camera bought locally, which was resolved with the help of Planitar.

Yikes - begs the question how the devices ended up getting black listed. Perhaps unpaid invoices or something. appreciate the information.
In the case I ran into, there was a balance due to Planitar. (Inadvertently, from all indications.)
I would guess that cameras reported stolen are also blacklisted, so that Planitar is both covering themselves and legitimate operators.
