Hi I’ve been marketing Google Street View to local businesses and have a few clients lined up. My question that I can’t seem to get answered is about tags.
Will any tags in the iGuide be visible on Google Street View?
And can the client update those tags to their liking, maybe if they have a promotion and want to update an image or something. Will that be reflected in Google Street View?
Hi, can you please tell me the workflow for shooting and posting on Google Street View?
Thank you.
There isn’t much to it. The only thing you have to make sure of is if there are any people in the photos blur out there faces. This is your responsibility and google doesn’t do it automatically. Once you have all the panos you want shown, in the back end of the iGuide you click “street view” and make the project from there. Follow the prompts google shows you and make sure you’re logged into the right google account as well. Other than blurring faces it’s pretty simple
Hi,
You can follow the process below, or simply watch this screen recording.
Exporting to Google Street View? - Video (I recommend watching it in x2 speed)
(Please note that you not publish imagery from personal residences)
-
Sign into the Portal with your operator account
-
Click on ‘My iGUIDEs’
-
Locate the iGUIDE you wish to export to Google Street View (Please note that if the iGUIDE was created without a property address, you may not be able to export it to Google Street View
-
Under the ‘iGUIDE View Tools’ section, select the ‘Street View’ tab
-
Follow on the on-screen text to continue the export process. Check out this video for visuals to aid you in this process.
When aligning the panos in the final stage, be sure to confirm the entrance of the property matches with what you see on the map.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you all for the help! I really appreciate it. Two more things.
- Are you using Photoshop to blur or is there an easier way?
- How much are you charging for just a singe street view 360? Entire tour?
Thanks again and fee free to email me at Al@AboveAndBeyondAerialImaging.com if you don’t want to post your pricing here.
Thanks again!
Al
You could utilize the blurring tool via the Portal and once you have saved your changes, proceed to export your project to Google Street View!
