Anyone else getting a lot of feed back that end users often miss these features? In my opinion it would be beneficial to have it more clearly stating what is behind each tab. Like “Photo Gallery, and Floor plan and property details” ??
Not everyone is familiar with how things work and what information is available to them as an end user. More clearly stating whats available and making it stand out more would be a good idea in my opinion.
I think the current menu nomenclature is in-line with the industry and would prefer to keep it concise. Furthermore, menus need to look great and be readable on a multitude of devices. From web-design perspective, currently, it’s a good balance between the needs of an English speaking human and design for the device type.
As Real Estate Agents they do offer a wealth of highly cultivated “soft-skills” that make them wonderful salespeople and vocal about their needs. I love feedback it’s an opportunity for education or to improve the relationship! It’s another opportunity to leverage my technologically inhibited client base, making myself available when they need me. This keeps me front and center in thier mind. We offer plentiful VERY short and to the point educational videos on a multitude of topics, but always follow up with the human touch they prefer.
I dont disagree with any of that, and understand it needs to be balanced for those reasons. I meet with every new customer to educate them and to improve relations and to let them know im available anytime for questions or help. I should have used the word consumer instead of end user.
More so talking about people that are actually doing the home shopping, the people that actually need to find things on their own.
Hi Kelsey, I think you have a good point here. I am a brand new operator, so I am still working off first impressions, but to the end product user, I think that would be worth considering making all the great stuff available more clearly available/evident to the home shopper to know what all they can see and that is available in an iguide! One thought I also had is that the other floors that might be available can be missed pretty easily…
I particularly agree about the other floors not being quickly evident. I thought I once saw a sample of a future version that showed all the floors in a line across the bottom of the screen with the active floor highlighted. Was I imagining that?
Agree with that also, if there was a way to notice other floors without having to click would be beneficial for sure, and even if the PDF floor plan had its own button with a little icon and says Floor plan, then its one click away instead of two, and i guarantee that button gets a ton more clicks then a button that says details. At the end of the day we want shoppers to stay on the Iguide interface and to have the best most efficient experience possible. So was just thinking of little ways to improve the shoppers experience since it had been brought up to me a number of times now.
