I have never expected perfection but it seems like I now submit corrections on every job. I just submitted 5 corrections on the latest one. A pantry with no door. Two identical closets side-by-side - one with bifold door the other with no doors. Two basement storage rooms with a very clear demising wall all shown as one room.
A basement bedoom shown as primary when clearly the main floor bedroom is the primary. I’ll fix that myself - it’s not one of the corrections I submitted but I’m mentioning it here because it’s not the first time I have seen a bedroom that is obviously not the primary labelled as such while the primary is not.
On my last job - a very large family room area with an adjoining T-shaped hallway was all shown as one area labelled “hallway” and with no measurements at all. When I submitted the correction and asked for the measurements the revision still showed no measurements for the spacious hallway area - I just let that go.
On the job before that - two bedrooms with doors opening onto a deck. The main door swings not shown but the screen doors were and one of the doorswings was incorrect direction. Also on that job - the front deck stairs beside the main front door not shown at all.
I now have to very carefully scrutinise every floorplan and I have begun warning my Realtor clients to do the same thing because errors are now common and two sets of eyes are better than one.
But the reason for my post is to ask “what’s up iGUIDE?” Suddenly the overall accuracy and reliability is gone. Errors are now common. Some of them are really inexcusable carelessness and it just seems like lately the standards have dropped. Like I said - I don’t expect perfection but it’s getting worse. Not to mention that a deliverable job now takes twice as long because first I wait for the floorplan with errors and then I wait for the corrections.
