This a good article about the current state of affairs with ICC profiles stored in images and how they are treated by browsers today. The short summary is that desktop browsers now will try to use (with varying success and implementation details) ICC profiles stored in images (so be careful which profiles you save), but mobile browsers still largely ignore stored color profiles and will treat images as having sRGB profile.

No, they do not and the RGB values are provided in sRGB colorspace as the most compatible with mobile browsers.
