We’ve had quite a few clients submit complaints about the orientation of floors throughout their 2D floor plans not having the same orientation. They are saying this is confusing for home buyers as it makes it hard to follow the actual layout of the home from floor to floor.
Ex: The front of the home is facing the bottom on Main Floor, but on the Second Floor it is facing the right.
My suggestion would be to either add a function on iGuide’s internal end, or our editor end to adjust the orientation of each floor that would automatically flip the roo names & dimensions as well. This would be helpful to avoid having to download & manually go in and rotate the floors, room names and dimensions individually.
You control floor orientation in Stitch. Select the rooms on a floor and use the four arrow button. Right click on the floor layout and turn the floor till you have the proper orientation.
–Semi-related-- I think we look less professional when the orientation of the floorplan changes between documents. I brought this up with support and was told that the auto-formatting makes the jpegs fit best on the page in order to avoid cropping. If the system could crop an image that is longer then it could certainly scale-down an image just as easily if it’s within say 15% of the aspect ratio of other floors. This is a small annoyance, but has been brought-up by clients and does make us look bad that we can’t adjust this.
